THE MUSIC MAN


THE MUSIC MAN IS A SHOW, THAT TELLS PART OF THE LIFE STORY OF HAROLD HILL. (PLAYED BY TYLER GREENLAW) HAROLD HILL IS A SLEEZY SALESMAN WHO IS WELL KNOWN TO HIS FELLOW SALESMEN AS A TRICKSTER WHO CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING THAT IS UNTIL HE FINDS HIMSELF IN RIVER CITY, IOWA. THAT'S WHEN TROUBLES START FOR PROFESSOR HAROLD HILL!!!!!! THIS PLAY INCLUDES MANY FAMOUS SONGS SUCH AS "76 TROMBONES", "YA GOT TROUBLE", AND "TIL' THERE WAS YOU".
THIS PLAY IS PRICELESS AND SHOULD BE SEEN AT LEAST ONCE BY EVERYONE, AS TYLER WOULD SAY THE MUSIC MAN CAN NOT BE DESCRIBED WITH WORDS!!!!!

Current Events

As of right now there are no plays happening in our district. However Mr. Wiley is still hosting let's write a show, to finnish writing The Orphan Train( this takes place on every early release wednesday). Anyone and everyone is encouraged to help out with that. Mrs. Gooseman will be starting another play following the December break. The exact play has not been decided on however it will be a one act, and you will have to make a cut to be in the play!!!

Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is also a play that was preformed by the sad 56 students and directed by Bill Wiley. Sleepy Hollow is a tale that takes place when Ichabod Crane coming to sleepy hollow and becoming the new town school teacher. After a while Ichabod attends a halloween party, and after a night of fun stories and dancing he leaves. Only to be chased by the headless horseman and never to be seen or heared from again. This play contains songs like Everybody Knows Brom Bones, and many of the kids who were in this play still think highly of it!!!!!

The Groups

The school system that is shared by Frankfort Searsport and Stockton Springs, Also shares two theater groups. One is lead by Bill Wiley. ( The music teacher for the local elementry schools, he also teaches chorus and band) This theater group preforms through the summer, the most recent show that they put on was Meridith Willison's "The Music Man". The other theater group is lead by Chris Gooseman. (She teaches theater, and junior history) The most recent play that was preformed by Mrs. Gooseman's theater group was "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood".
